ABOUT

My name is Cindy Thornton and I am a painter, illustrator, and graphic designer residing in sunny (and stormy) Central Florida with my husband and three children. I received my degree in studio art in 1997, and began selling art online in 2005. I love to paint a scene that tells a story. I try to capture a whimsical mood through the use of light, color, and fun subject matter. Inspiration? Van Gogh, my kids, The Wizard of Oz, old records that need the dust blown off of them, space exploration, the weather, Bible stories and old hymns...to name a few. To date my art hangs in Boston's Childrens Hospital and private collectors homes through out the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe.
